Campus to Campus: Stories in Motion

Campus to Campus: Stories in Motion is the not-for-profit arm of Edstra Global, our way of giving back. It brings together educators, early-career professionals, researchers, mental health experts and, most importantly, students, all in conversation.

Our commitment

Three ways we give back

01

Campus to Campus Walks

In the spirit of the ecosystem, we bring together researchers, educators, mental-health specialists, students, staff, support networks and third-parties together to walk, listen, connect and learn from one another.

We find that by being together, walking alongside someone who you may never have ordinarily spoken to brings a great opportunity to learn from one another and improve our communities of care.

We have already hosted walks across institutions in the UK and will be widening our programme to Dubai in 2027, Germany and Doha in 2028 and New York in 2029.

02

Research

We work alongside our student data and insights community to deliver valuable, student-led research which focuses on topical issues currently in conversation across the educational landscape.

2026 report: The Importance of Belonging in Commuter Students

Our 2027 programme will involve taking a group of students from different universities away on a retreat to learn more about their experience of wellbeing and support structures in the PGR community

03

Summit

Once a year we bring together students and leaders from across wellbeing, mental-health, education, research at a one-day high-impact event designed to learn from one another, pledge new ways of working and present the results of our research programme.

Why it exists

Student mental health.
A shared priority.

By listening, learning and creating connections, Campus to Campus works to change the landscape of student mental health and improve the support offered between education transitions and into early careers.

Each event takes the form of a walk, from campus to campus, through cities and countryside, where students, professionals, career experts, mental health specialists and educators share stories side by side. It is an initiative rooted in our commitment to students, rather than a core advisory service.

One student dies every 2.3 days by suicide in the UK.

This statistic matters, each person matters, and we must amplify noise, support and action around this tragic reality. Katherine Allan, Founder

The importance of belonging amongst commuter students

Qualitative research study · Campus to Campus

Belonging is increasingly recognised as a critical determinant of student wellbeing, engagement, and retention, yet commuter students remain one of the least understood and least supported groups within this landscape. In partnership with Royal Holloway University London and Brunel University London, Campus to Campus has led a qualitative study exploring how commuting shapes students’ sense of connection, safety, and participation in university life.

50%of UK students now commute, up from 25% in 2013
46%of students consider leaving their course, often due to a lack of belonging
